2026 GWNN Bash Update

Hello All,

We had a great time presenting a wonderful event last year. Along with that came some wonderful feedback that we were able to apply for the 2026 BASH event as well. We wanted to take a few moments and quickly run through some of the largest items we saw stand out and also provide some feedback ourselves as to what we are hoping to expand on this year.

Vendors: We heard many folks state that they wanted a wider variety of vendors. While our spacing makes it a challenge, our goal this year is extending out the period where vendors apply. This will allow us to select from a wider variety of vendors as we know they are equally excited to come and celebrate with you.

Classes & Education: We received lots of very positive and impactful feedback. This year, similar to our vendors, our goal is to open the application process up for a longer period to allow more individuals to come up with and submit ideas for us to bring you a wider variety with a more diverse group of folk.

Forms: We greatly appreciate all the feedback we received on all our registration and sign up forms. This year we are doing our best to try and mitigate as much of the confusion as possible. While we cannot fully get away from some of the pain points we are striving to bring ease of use and more clear guidance on all the forms that are required.

Our Current Space: We know that there was a lot of feedback in regards to the hotel and the folks that were not apart of the convention that were staying at the location. To ensure we are leading with transparency, BASH struggles with filling its rooms and as such we struggle to be able to acquire the ability to afford a buy out. While we will not be able to do a buy out this year, we are working with the hotel to move our dates so other events are not ending while we are coming in. Additionally, we have been working with the hotel to create better segmentation of spaces for our attendees vs those who are not attending the event but still utilizing the services of the hotel.

Social Spaces: We know that part of a convention is coming and making connections. We also know that during last year folks felt there were not as many spaces to do just that. This year we are crafting intentional gathering spaces for folks to be able to discover those connections and build the lasting friendships we all desire.

Dungeon Experience: We greatly appreciate all the feedback so that we can work with our affiliate Team Dungeon on this. There were many positives and some points where improvements can be made. We fully plan to address the concerns and comments provided, both positive and constructive, so that we can continue to improve the space and have folks find their space at BASH.

Relaying Information: We received a good deal of feedback regarding how you received information for 2025 and we are applying that to the best of our ability. Be that identifying spaces where we can provide information at the Convention, finding ways to better get you information about what’s coming, and ensuring you have the tools and information throughout with things like maps, descriptions, etc that you can use to best plan your days and spend your time exploring and building connections.

VIP Packages: While this does not apply to everyone we did want to take a quick moment to speak about it. We know the meals weren’t up to the expectations we promised. They didn’t meet our standards either. That has been fixed. Our menus are now fully gluten-free friendly, we can’t wait to share our yummy menu options with you all this year. ALL items will be labeled and identified for ease of use and safety.

Our goal this year is to take BASH Beyond what we were able to provide last year and that starts with you. Your feedback is valuable to us and we value the information provided. We look forward to improving 2026 to meet and exceed expectations. Always know that your voice matters with us and we want to hear your thoughts and desires so that we can continue to build a great event and space for all.
